Dear School District of Philadelphia Parents and Guardians,

The Philly School Experience Survey for Parents & Guardians, formerly known as the annual District-Wide Survey for the School District of Philadelphia, is open now! The Philly School Experience Survey is one of the best tools we have to gather your feedback and assess your perspective on numerous topics that impact the educational experience for students. Your responses help us measure progress toward the Board of Education’s Goals & Guardrails and improve our schools and services in various ways including – informing annual school plans and funding priorities, clarifying the community resources that students and families need, and more.

What’s new this year?

  • The survey has a new name. The annual District-Wide Survey is now called the Philly School Experience Survey (PSES) to better reflect that it is a survey about school communities and for school communities.
  • The survey is anonymous. The parent/guardian survey has always been completely confidential, but this year it is also anonymous, meaning that you will not be asked to enter a student ID number.
  • The survey has been shortened. The parent/guardian survey can be completed in about 5-7 minutes.

You may access the Philly School Experience Survey here.To show our appreciation, anyone who completes the survey online can enter a raffle for the chance to win a $25 electronic gift card. We are asking for one response per household for each school that your student(s) attend(s).

The Philly School Experience Survey window closes on May 31, 2023. If you have trouble logging in or have questions about the survey, email the survey team at schoolsurveys@philasd.org. For more information about the District-Wide Survey, including results from previous years, visit www.philasd.org/PSES.

I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to let your voice be heard. Thank you for speaking up as your child’s biggest champion!

Sincerely,
