Vernon joined the School District in 1997, and has served in many roles during his tenure. Currently in his role as Interim Assistant Director of Operations, Vernon is tasked with the responsibility of seeing that schools are operating in a manner which promotes cleanliness, safety, productivity and comfort. He works alongside his team of Facilities Area Coordinators, Building Engineers, Custodial Staff, Truck Drivers, Warehouse Personnel, and Field and Ground Support Staff to tackle Facilities projects focused on ultimately leading to schools re-opening.
