SDP – In-Person Registration Procedures

Register In Person:

The Office of Student Enrollment and Placement will offer in-person registration services for families unable to register online or by phone.  This will be done by appointment only.  No walk ins will be accepted.  In-person registration services will be available twice a week from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the Education Center, 440 N. Broad Street, Suite 111.

In order to provide a safe and convenient method of registration for new students, the School District of Philadelphia has expanded its online registration process to include all grades K through 12.  However, the District recognizes that alternative registration methods must be considered for families that have difficulty accessing technology.  This in-person registration process will only be available by making appointments ahead of time.

The below procedure will detail the in-person registration process for families:

  • Registration Days: Monday through Friday
  • Registration Times: 10am – 2pm
  • Registration Sites: Education Center

Procedure:

Families interested in using the in-person option will need to make an appointment by calling the Office of Student Enrollment and Placement at 215-400-4290.  Once the call has been received, an appointment will be set.  After the appointment time and location has been confirmed, families will visit the registration site to complete the process.

Families must have an active email address in order to complete the registration process.  If you do not have an e-mail address, we encourage you to create a free Gmail account with Google.

Families must bring all required documents with them to the appointment in order to successfully complete the registration process.  If the documentation is incomplete, the appointment will end and be rescheduled.

If all the information is complete, families are expected to enter the required information into the online registration site.  Once entered, families will be required to provide the e-mail address and application number to the District Staff member helping them.

Families should expect at least a 72 hour turnaround time from the day the application was successfully completed.  Families who have questions about their application should contact the school directly.  All other questions can be directed to virtualenrollment@philasd.org.
