Garage Operations
The Department of Transportation Services Office of Garage Operations is fully committed to providing safe and efficient transportation to our students in Philadelphia.
The ability to serve our student transportation needs is an integral part of the education for all students within the School District as the school bus is an extension of the classroom. Drivers receive extensive training and receive hours of professional development training to comply with all new and existing laws pertaining to student transportation.
Our Garage locations are responsible for dispatching school buses, responding to questions regarding operational issues, fleet maintenance, driver training, and the District-wide mail delivery system. Garage Operations includes three school bus garages that manage more than 300 school bus routes and one automotive services location as listed below:
