Give Your Feedback on Kindergarten Family Resources

We all know how important learning skills, like working and playing cooperatively with others, are for our children. This is why these skills are part of the School District of Philadelphia’s kindergarten report card. In partnership with the district, the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania is creating supports for families to help foster these skills in kindergarten students. We are looking for families with a child going into kindergarten next year or completing kindergarten this year to help us identify effective home strategies to enhance the learning skills listed on the report card.

University of Pennsylvania will be hosting two meetings this winter to introduce families to the project and get feedback about the resources we are creating. Families may choose whichever meeting day works best for their schedule. The meetings will be held at the School District of Philadelphia (440 North Broad Street) on Tuesday, January 22nd from 5:30pm to 7:30pm and on Tuesday, February 5th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Families who participate in one of the meetings will receive a children’s book. We will also serve light refreshments and will have childcare available if you need to bring your child along with you.
