The 2020-21 Senior Exit Survey contained a subset of questions specifically related to Career and Technical Education (CTE). The survey asked self-identified CTE students about their post-graduation plans for further education and employment. Key takeaways include:

  • CTE respondents had plans for further education, majors, and employment similar to non-CTE respondents.
  • For CTE respondents planning further education, the largest differences  in majors from non-CTE respondents related to Trade and Personal Services, STEM, and Social Services.
  • More than half (55%) of CTE respondents were unsure whether they had earned industry certifications.
  • Of the CTE respondents who earned industry certifications, most (62%) planned to use their certifications in some capacity in the future.

The slide deck below provides a summary of the survey results for CTE respondents.
