This evening at the Board of Education’s Monthly Action Meeting, Board members voted to approve the amended academic calendars for the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 school years.

The calendar revision for the 2018-2019 school year is a change of date for Pennsylvania’s Primary Election Day. The current calendar reads that schools will be closed for the primary election on Tuesday, May 14, which is an error. Instead schools will be closed on Tuesday, May 21.

The revision to the 2019-2020 school year calendar reflects a proposed change to close schools on April 28, 2020 for the primary election.

The Board voted to postpone the vote on the 2020-2021 school year calendar.
