Multilingual Family Support Team Welcomes All Families and Breaks Down Supports and Services

The FACE Multilingual Family Support Team is committed to ensuring that immigrant and refugee students and their families have equal access to educational services and opportunities. In celebration of Family Engagement Month and the beginning of another school year, we would like to reiterate our commitment to language access to all our multilingual families, and share with you the different resources available to you at schools and offices. Check out our programs and services through the stats below.

The School District of Philadelphia has:

School-based Bilingual Counseling Assistants (BCAs) that provide culturally –relevant interpretation services and who collectively speak 50 languages and dialects.
Language Access Coordinators (Albanian, Arabic, Chinese, French, Khmer, Russian, Spanish, and Vietnamese) responsible for translating and coordinating the translation of District-wide and school-specific documents.
Language Websites where you can get information on education in the United States; health and safety; getting involved in your child’s education; family and community resources (with an interactive map and search option); and important documents.
Language Hotlines
Languages available LanguageLine via telephonic interpretation for school and office staff to serve you.
