Major Renovation at Motivation
Construction Budget: $15,288,000
Motivation HS is slated to undergo extensive repairs both outside and inside the school. Exterior work will include: structural repairs to the building envelope, painting of exterior doors and frames, window replacement, new signage to promote pride in the community, accessibility upgrades,a new outdoor classroom, and a large stormwater management system.
Interior renovations will include: replacement of the elevator, doors, ceiling tiles, lockers, wayfinding signage, and a new mechanical system including unit ventilators and pipes. We will also be renovating all of Motivation’s classrooms including science labs, the art room, computer lab, cafeteria, auditorium, toilet rooms, and fitness rooms. Upgrades to the classrooms include power, data and display surfaces, shades and new paint.

- 11/22/19 – Current phase is slated for completion by the end of December. We are as of now ahead of schedule with no pressing issues that would affect this in the foreseeable future.
- 11/08/19 – We are almost 80% complete with scheduled construction operations. Currently, renovation is in phase C5 located on second floor KIPP school is underway.
