Ensuring Proper Grant Management
The Grant Compliance Office (GCO) works to ensure compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The GCO works in tandem with the grant program managers, school principals and related staff to ensure that grants are managed properly, and that government funds are used for their intended purpose. The GCO develops policies and procedures and provides operational training and support to program personnel who are tasked with grant management. In addition, the GCO collaborates with other agencies and organizations to identify and address educational policy issues and compliance concerns, and oversees the implementation of the Grant Corrective Action Plan agreed to by The School District of Philadelphia, the U.S. Department of Education, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
