In partnership with the Philadelphia Eagles, the American Dairy Association awarded the Division of Food Services two “Hometown Grants.” In November, a few lucky students from Comly Elementary participated in the check presentation and got a behind-the-scenes tour of the Eagles Training Facility (left picture). Later, the Eagles mascot, “Swoop,” presented the second award to Barton Elementary students and hosted a pep rally, where students received t-shirts and swag (right picture). Food Services used both grants to purchase new refrigeration, and both elementary schools used their portion of the award to purchase physical activity equipment.
