The program is designed to engage middle school youth in creating science-themed games, inspired by the collections at the ANS. Ron joined the Philadelphia Writing Project in 2011 and participated in PhilWP’s Leadership Inquiry Seminar in 2012. Ron was a co-presenter at the 2009 NSDC Conference in St. Louis, in a Penn Partnership session entitled, Closing the Gap Between Professional Development and Student Achievement. In 2016, Mr. Houston was awarded with the Fellowship 2016 Impact Award at the Black Male Educators Convening IV for his work with Philadelphia school students.
