After majoring in Communication Studies and minoring in Psychology at West Chester University, Philadelphia native Tyne Jamieson began her career as a resource counselor, where she supported families with grant assistance applications, and developed an anger management curriculum for local elementary school students. She later joined Philabundance Community Kitchen as a recruitment and employment coordinator for their culinary arts job training program, where she enthusiastically connected with many people looking to enhance their lives through education and life skills coaching. There, Tyne organized and facilitated recruitment affairs that maximized student enrollment and fortified business and community partnerships. Her passion for this work flourished as she developed a basic computer literacy course for enrolled students to engage with their prospective employers and an alumni e-newsletter to showcase graduate successes. These tools often provided students with the confidence to participate in an ever-evolving technological society.

Tyne earned her Master of Education in Adult and Organizational Development from Temple University in 2013, while working at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). She worked at the VA for twelve years, seven of which she served as the agency’s program coordinator for their nationwide Federal travel program. In addition to program instruction and implementation, in this role, she cultivated her talents in content development and strategic communications. Most notably, she facilitated a series of training programs and established associated materials to radically decrease credit card misuse, increase user competency, and significantly improve program regulation adherence. Tyne enjoys training because it allows her to foster meaningful relationships and simplify complex narratives in order to inspire change in all who seek it and she is absolutely thrilled to have joined the educational technology team within the School District of Philadelphia.

In her spare time, Tyne finds joy in exploring the local Philadelphia music, art and restaurant scenes, home renovating, gardening, traveling the world and making new memories with her amazing husband.
