The Department of Facilities & Maintenance is comprised of two separate units:
The Department of Facilities handles the day-to-day operations of district schools, including cleaning services, field and green space upkeep, and climate-control systems.
The Department of Maintenance schedules and performs needed building repairs. It also performs preventative maintenance, including floor and roof repairs, mechanical systems upkeep, and plumbing.
Individual divisions within these departments are assigned to specific areas:
- Fire & Safety: focuses on health and safety concerns, including fire prevention.
- Real Property Management: oversees the sale, purchase, and leasing of District properties.
- Use of Facilities: manages school building and field rentals by outside parties.
