In January 2024, the School District of Philadelphia (SDP) Office of Finance, in partnership with the Office of Evaluation, Research, and Accountability, conducted the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Priorities Survey, as part of an array of stakeholder engagement activities aimed at informing the annual budget.

A total of 3,641 stakeholders responded to the survey, representing 229 District schools/programs. 52% of respondents identified themselves as school-based staff, and 38% identified themselves as parents/guardians.

Key findings include:

  • Survey respondents affirmed the importance of all Accelerate Philly priority areas.
  • Teachers were viewed as the highest priority investment for schools.
  • Most respondents supported changes to the “leveling” process.
  • Reading and Climate Support Specialists were the highest Title I priorities.
