Michelle was raised in Springfield, PA where she attended Springfield High School. After graduating from Springfield, she attended West Chester University and pursued a major in health and physical education, and was a member of the West Chester University women’s soccer team.

After graduating college in 2013, she was a full-time substitute in Marple Newtown School District. Her time spent in the classroom gave her the confidence to seek a certification in middle grades mathematics. Her math career continued in Charleston, South Carolina, where she was a 7th and 8th grade math teacher.

In 2018, Michelle returned to Philadelphia and she is now a technology integration coach in the School District of Philadelphia.
