Three Benchmark Tests for Biology will be offered this year at the end of marking periods 1, 2, and 3. The Biology Benchmarks will be designed and administered the same as in previous years: 25 multiple choice questions administered online via Schoolnet and 1 constructed response question scored by each school.
Per Pennsylvania Act 35, all school districts are required to create and administer a yearly assessment of civics knowledge. Philadelphia will meet this requirement by administering a brief, online assessment to seniors through their Social Science class. The testing window is set for February 8 – 24, 2021. Please support this effort by completing the principal survey every other Thursday, and by asking your homeroom/advisory teachers to set aside 5 minutes of Community Meeting time every other Thursday to allow students to complete the survey and to complete their own.
New rules pertaining to OLR have been released this week for Principals and Secretaries: EN403 and EN415. For EN403, the OLR application is complete, but the student was never officially enrolled. If the student is attending the school, the enrollment needs to be added. For EN415, the application has stalled and needs to be addressed….
