Mission

“At SESI, our mission is to provide educational services for K-12 students who require specialized educational and behavioral supports to overcome challenges that impede their success in a traditional school setting. We believe that all children deserve an education that goes beyond academics and enables them to grow into responsible, self-sufficient adults.”

Program Highlights

What is a Transition Program?
Students whose Code of Conduct infraction warrants a disciplinary school transfer are assigned to an Alternative Education for Disruptive Youth (AEDY) Transition Program, an alternative school setting designed to support students with academic and social/emotional development in a smaller, supportive environment.

Students in an AEDY Transition Program will receive the following supports and resources:

  • PA Common Core Instruction

  • Character, Social/Emotional Learning

  • Counseling & Referrals

  • Personalized Learning/Transition Plan

  • Supportive Services/Case Management

  • Low Student/Staff Ratio

High School & Post-secondary Planning
While attending, students receive support from staff to begin planning to attend the high school that is the best fit for them, and begin exploring options and ideas for college and career opportunities.

Parent & Community Advisory
Achieve Academy has a strong focus on engaging parents and guardians in it’s community at every step. In addition to various parent and community engagement activities and events throughout the year, Camelot Academy also offers parents the opportunity to participate in the Parent & Community Advisory. For more information on getting involved, contact Mr. McCleary, the program’s Executive Director.

Extra Curricular Activities

Achieve Academy offers opportunities for students to participate in various trips and school events. Past trips have included trips to Rolling Thunder and Arnold’s Fun Center, movies, and the Adventure Aquarium. The program also offers free yoga classes.
