New Opportunity: Youth Firesetter Intervention Specialists

The Office of School Safety is currently seeking four individuals who are interested in becoming Youth Firesetter Intervention Specialists (YFIS) for our Juvenile Firesetting Program. Youth Firesetter Intervention Specialists will work with the District’s Fire Safety Officer to provide students, who have set fires or engaged in fire play with a structured program designed to reduce youth firesetting within schools. The program also educates parents and children about fire safety and preventing firesetting behavior.

Please be advised that this role is not full-time and will be in addition to your current position. You will still be expected to maintain your regular duties, unless directed otherwise and/or you are working on an assignment with the program.
