UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS EDUCATOR DISCOUNT PROGRAM

At UArts, we believe that teaching is an art.

University of the Arts is excited to offer School District of Philadelphia teachers, administrators, and staff an application fee waiver and a 20% tuition discount* on education courses, education master’s degrees, and graduate certificate programs in education, beginning in summer 2024.

Master’s Degrees

UArts provides PSD educators and staff with a 20% tuition discount for the following flexible and nationally recognized matriculated programs.

  • The MEd in Educational Program Design comprises online matriculated courses for all educators that meet year-round and are scheduled in the evenings and over summers. Some in-person arts courses are available.
  • The MEd in Educational Technology features online matriculated courses for all educators. Courses meet year-round and are scheduled in the evenings and over summers.
  • Masters in Music in Music Education(MM) offers summers-only matriculated courses for music teachers; some courses are available online.

Certificates

UArts provides PSD educators and staff with a 20% tuition discount for the following flexible and nationally recognized matriculated programs.

  • Each Graduate Certificate in Art and Educational Technology features five clustered, matriculated courses for all educators. Courses meet year-round and are scheduled in the evenings and over summers, and almost all are online, except arts courses.
  • Music Education PK–12 is coming soon!

Non-Matriculated Graduate Courses for Educators

UArts provides PSD educators and staff with a 20% tuition discount for the following flexible and nationally recognized non-matriculated courses and programs.

  • Professional Institute for Educators offers non-matriculated courses for all educators. Courses meet year-round and are scheduled in the evenings and over summers. Almost all are online, except arts courses.
  • Summer Music Studies offers summers-only, non-matriculated courses for music teachers.

Professional Institute for Educators and Summer Music Studies are approved providers of Pennsylvania Department of Education Act 48 professional development credit.

How to Apply, Register, and Receive Your Discount

To learn more about University of the Arts and our matriculated graduate programs and application processes, contact the Graduate Admissions team at admissions@uarts.edu. Please use the code “SDP” to waive your $60 application fee and be sure to indicate your employment with SDP on the application. Enrolling students will be directed to verify their eligibility by providing a pay stub before bills are generated each term.
