#teachPHL: Unpacking Your First Year

#teachPHL: Unpacking Your First Year is a professional development series tailored to the needs of teachers who are new to the School District of Philadelphia.  This series allows teachers to connect monthly and grow their foundational toolkit in order to be successful in the classroom and school community.

During Monday afternoon sessions, we provide timely, district-specific information and professional learning topics facilitated by partner offices and community agencies. On Wednesday afternoons, we help new teachers build their foundational toolkit by taking a deep dive into teaching strategies, particularly for Danielson Domains 2 and 3. These sessions prioritize intentional practice and feedback. Every session begins with a structured opportunity for peers to share ideas and encourage each other.
