Narrative 4, a global organization driven by artists, shaped by educators and led by students, is offering its free Story Exchange Program, which offers participants the opportunity to tell their partner’s story using the first person. Students work in pairs to share their stories, and then their partners come back to a full class or small group to tell the story of their partner. There’s no minimum number of students, and we provide free training for facilitators (teachers and/or students) if a school commits to hosting two story exchanges in a year. As a first step, Virtual Story Exchanges can be experienced in a two hour session through registering on the event page here.

Story Exchange can be tied to Core Curriculum Standards, and it’s all free (which has been made possible by donations like that of MacKenzie Scott, who supported Narrative as part of her $4.2 billion in donations made last year).

Outcomes:

-Addresses students’ Social Emotional Learning (SEL) needs
-Creates a global classroom, students connect to local and global communities
-Increases civic engagement through Empathy into Action campaign
