2021 Forensic Sciences Mentoring Institute Summer Science Program

The 2021 FMI G John DiGregorio Summer Science Program Application is now OPEN!

The FMI program has been a longstanding program, offered yearly since it was founded in 1994. The final format of the 2021 program is still under consideration. At a minimum, the program will be offered virtually with simulated laboratory exercises and exciting content, including renowned guest speakers. In-person experiences at the laboratory will be allowed as permitted by health and safety regulations.

At the Forensic Sciences Mentoring Institute (FMI) Summer Science Program, high school students spend 5-weeks investigating and solving a crime using actual forensic techniques and instrumentation.

Analyze crime scene evidence from homicide, sexual assault and drug trafficking investigations under the mentorship of forensic experts. Work with your team to solve a realistic crime situation by gathering and testing evidence and analyzing your data.
